The British Chamber has a number of membership categories designed to suit individual business needs. Each package varies slightly but all companies can expect access to a diverse business network of over 200 Myanmar and international companies, across a broad range of industry sectors.

02 / Rates

Six categories, in US dollars

Corporate Membership

Open to all UK companies and non-UK companies who have existing trade links, or are interested in developing trade links in Myanmar or the UK.

USD $850

Group Membership

Open to all UK and non-UK groups of companies who have three or more companies with existing trade links, or interested in developing trade links in Myanmar or the UK.

USD $700

Entrepreneur Membership

For companies established less than three years ago, with a presence in Myanmar and no more than ten employees.

USD $450

Affiliate Membership

For not for profit universities, trade bodies and NGOs, including charities and associations.

USD $400

Mandalay Merchant Membership

For Mandalay registered companies and businesses.

Overseas Membership

Organisations are eligible for Overseas Membership until they have a registered office in Myanmar.

Fees are payable annually in August. A member joining after 1 September has their first fee prorated.

03 / Criteria

Who can join, and how it works

  1. Membership is open to all UK companies and non-UK companies who have existing trade links, or are interested in developing trade links in Myanmar or the UK.
  2. The Chamber Board assesses each application, and approval of membership is at the Board’s discretion.
  3. Members are expected to conduct business in a responsible and ethical way; the Board reserves the right to withdraw membership from a company found not to meet these standards.
  4. Membership and sponsorship fees are payable annually in August, and packages are subject to change in future years.
  5. A new member joining after 1 September has their first fee prorated. This does not apply to existing members renewing.
  6. Event fees vary for members and non-members.
04 / Sponsorship

Backing the programme

All members are invited and encouraged to sponsor events through the Chamber for mutually beneficial reasons. Chamber events vary greatly throughout the year, from corporate golf tournaments, to political and economic briefings, to legal and compliance updates. Platinum and Gold sponsorships are exclusive or by invitation, discussed directly with the Chief Executive.
